D-Link router

Sat Apr 06, 2013 4:58 am

Hi

I have a D-Link router and I want to change the password that let's me logon to it's web interface however when a family memeber set it up for the first time, he did everything so now I can't find the tab that lets me change the password when I use the web interface.

He created a user account for me called "admin" however I can't see the tab that says "tools" that lets me change the password for the logon page, is it hidden or am I really not an admin even though my username is under "admin"? Thanks

You should be able to look at the model number then go to d-links website and get more info. It should show you where the reset button is and all of the available config options. The only downside to this is that if you have lots of devices that use that wireless in the house you may have to reconfigure them.
