Hi all, over the past year and a have or so I have been having reasonably frequent (bout every 2/3 months) BIOS failures. That is, when I boot the computer the BIOS fails to boot (no sound) and nothing comes up.
I have to flash the BIOS using the Jumpers and more recently I have to take out the CMOS battery. Another one occured just this morning and I thought it may have been the one that did my computer in. So my question is, what is this problem caused by if anyone knows. Is it a failure of the mobo, the psu or simply the cmos battery. I'd wanna know simply because if I had to go in on a new computer I'd like to carry as many parts as I can into the new one. Thanks for the help!
