The X-FI totally blows the Realtek clear out of the water but I guess I'm totally appreciative of the fact that the Realtek is the 'little engine that could', probably having cost me less than a bottle of Coke but 'offers the highest sound quality', according to Realtek's ALC892 product page, at least.
Oh well, I guess I'm just the embodiment of appreciation itself, at least when it comes to low cost but highly capable things. Or maybe I'm just weird. LOL

One of my favorite bands posted this on their Facebook page (Monuments, if you must know). I almost died.

Buckethead, Brain and Melissa meet Ornette Coleman. Buckethead playing along and providing support for Melissa and Brain. It's very rare. Buckethead usually just does solo stuff and owns the stage..
Whoa... I need that! Looks like there's a reissue available from TDRS now. Damn you, there goes 50 bucks.

My copy apparently arrived yesterday, but I didn't notice because I got home really late (stupid deadline at work) and someone had just tossed all of the mail on the kitchen table. Listening to Disc 1 (Orange) now. Quite the contrast between tracks 1 and 2; I think I am going to really enjoy this. Thanks for the heads-up.

The entire album is just amazing. Best 2nd hand music find in quite some time.
