Where do I start when designing a network?
Can anyone illustrate the steps of designing a network? :-?

I'd mark this as spam but you don't seem to be selling or promoting URL's which is usually the sole point of spammers.
If you're actually after some advice on network design, we need a boatload more information.

Assuming this isn't a homework assignment or prelude to sock puppet spam, you're going to need to be a little more specific than that.

What will the network be used for? What are the performance, reliability, and security requirements? How many users will there be?

You can't just "design a network" without knowing how it will be used.

I can do illustrations in a modern-abstract style. Try yEd Graph Editor for making flowcharts.
