How we justify all that high-dollar hardware.

Multiplayer/online/turn based iOS games?

Postposted on Wed Jun 26, 2013 2:58 pm

Hey gerbils,

So with work and family getting in the way, my friends and I are having trouble finding time to play our favorite online games. We all have iPads and we're looking for recommendations for some good turn-based strategy type games for iOS. I've tried "outwitters", its pretty fun, but looking for some more options.

So yeah, any ideas?

Need 2-4 player options

Leviathan Warships even allows asynchronous multiplayer. Everyone takes their turns when they can get to it. It's great.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

Not sure if it's what you have in mind, but Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers is a pretty excellent series

Hero Academy ? I've not played it myself but I remember reading a fair number of people giving it praise including Penny Arcade. It's another async turn based game.

I'm actually working on a Kickstarter for a game that fits what you're looking for, based on the boardgame classic RoboRally, called Goblin Grand Prix. It's a turn-based golem racing game that'll include online play, as well as pass and play. Take a look - might be right up the alley of what you're looking for.
