+3 games from the 7950
To head off a couple questions, I am pretty set on a mid tower build. I have a few hard drives that are going to migrate. The 650D is my favorite choice in this category.
My RAM is more than recommended in the system guides, but I'm currently using 12GB, and it seems silly to downgrade myself.
I am planning on doing a modest overclock on my CPU, which is why I am getting the aftermarket cooler just in case.
I was a little hesitant on the 7950. I know that AMD has new cards on the way, which is probably part of the reason that the deal is going on now, and I suspect that Nvidia might pull out a deal or two closer to Christmas, but if I build now, the 7950 seems like the best deal...and video cards are easy to replace if I want to upgrade in a year or two. On that note, I am at 1080p right now. I have two monitors, but only ever game on the one.
