Language/Translation services for a web page

Thu Oct 03, 2013 5:38 pm

The university I attend/work for is looking to bring their international web pages up a notch, and tasked me with looking into what our best options are for web translation. We are currently doing simple Google translations. Does anyone have any experience with services that translate everything into different languages? Ideally, we are looking for:

Simplified Chinese
Thai
Indonesian
Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese

Can anyone point me to a place that they have had experience with wholesale website translation or any other method that would work well for a small D-1 University?

You don't have any foreign students in your university? :-? Maybe put a request on the webpage asking current students to volunteer to help with translation, or perhaps use some education-related forum to find such suckers volunteers at other facilities/locations...

The vast majority of our small international student population are Middle Eastern. Some from Europe. We also cannot do a search through our database to find students from such locations. We can put the word out through our International Support Services, but those are 90% Middle Eastern.
