Re: Games auto minimizing as well as videos

I had this happen with my desktop. I had an application...Citrix Receiver in my case would call out for updates every 15 minutes. Every time it did that it would minimize any game or video I had open. It was very annoying. I've heard people being effected by Adobe products as well which can cause this. I believe Java as well.

I've had this happen where it was programs in the task bar that would pop up a notification. If you're running something full screen, it might jump to desktop but then not actually show the notification. I would try disabling anything in the notification area that might pop up and see if the problem goes away.

I notice you have Avast - that was one of the ones that was giving me trouble. It's strange, I've had other machines where I ran it without causing the same problem. Maybe some weird combination of driver, Windows version, etc.

Ya I look to see if any programs are up askn for that stuff, but I do not have anything running in the task bar, litterally just orgin to play mass effect and it also does this when im watchn a movie with media player classic full screen, just randomly minimzing it every few min or so. I don't have any anti virus program installed either, I don't see java or anything pop up either.
