I've seen it on a few other outlets, Winamp is going away! Noooooooooooooooo! I thought we could take a moment to share our fond memories of a once popular, well known piece of software.
I have fond memories as a child of sneaker-netting .it game music files to the "kids computer" with no modem and Winamp being the only thing I could find that would play it (and fit on a floppy). Then there was the time in “A-Town” in Korea where they used Winamp to play music videos downloaded from the internet in the “Juicy Bars.”
I'm actually going back to Windows from Linux (long story) and am at a loss to what I could replace Winamp with. I liked Winamp because when I was playing games I could listen to music online or make a quick playlist. Anyone have a suggestion other than download the final version?
