Matte 1080p gaming monitor?

Wed Nov 20, 2013 10:54 pm

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone knows of a 1080p monitor with a matte bezel that's decent for gaming. I'd like it under $250, preferably around $200. I had my eye on the benq xl2420, but that's a little out of my price range.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Unless you plan on keeping up with the hardware requirements needed to push 120fps in every game or you plan on playing only games that you know your hardware can handle then maybe a 60Hz, 5ms reponse time AH-IPS planel might be a better choice.

That said, research it yourself before buying anything.

Best Buy, Black Friday special, until they're gone: an LG IPS/LED 27" display for $189. I picked one up and the stand and bezel quality are not spectacular, but the matte-finish panel is pretty good.
