well, this is the problem with Orwellian suppression of "wrong thought"
If you pick and choose what and where someone can debate ideas, you have already lost.
I understand the policy here, but there are generations coming out of our schools with no critical thinking ability.
They cannot debate, they cannot defend their ideals.
They are taught that there is no need; that unpleasant facts, inconsistency in history, failure to actual produce the intended results regardless of the good intentions...these can be easily dismissed by attacking the person...claiming racism, hate speech, or simply radical insanity.
It is very convenient, because it obviates the need to actually review the facts, history, or outcome of policy.
Not the right venue?
It seldom is until it is too late.
