I'm having a bit of a strange issue. I have the newest drivers, a year old 7950 and two IPS panels (same model that were reviewed on here).

One monitor is in the DVI, one in the HDMI. I've verified that both monitors work. The HDMI port just doesn't appear to work. I hear the "device recognized" sound windows makes when it sees something new. Windows sees it but won't let me extend to it. The computer even bluescreens if I leave the HDMI monitor plugged in and boot. Other folks with similar cards have no problem. Any ideas?

to add to this, with a minidisplayport adapter it doesnt even detect the monitor. this may not be useful, as I think you're supposed to use all of your non displayport adapters first.
