I am looking for a non-cloud password manager. Mainly for PC. What do you all like?

1password gets some love, as does PasswordSafe if my read is correct.

I really like RoboForm. It's got a very slick UI and is easy to use. And, if you dig into the options, it has everything you could want.

I use RoboForm everyday for work. I don't use a password manager for home use.

KeePass - works great, lots of choices. Basically works on every platform known to man.

Edit: For me personally, I use 1Password because all the computers I use regularly are Macs except my Gaming PC, but I don't really need it to have the password software installed.

I like Keepass, you can safe your passwords to a strongly encrypted archive and just store it where you want. I keep mine on Dropbox still, but I trust that setup more than something like Lastpass. At least with Keepass+Dropbox, I can delete the file from Dropbox, change my passwords and stuff the database on an USB-stick and be 100% sure that nobody has my new passwords.

I'll also put in a vote for Keepass. I've found it easy to use to share a password database between my PC and Android phone using Dropbox.

This is something I've been meaning to look into myself. A folded up piece of paper with all of my passwords scribbled on it isn't cutting it any more (too many damn passwords)!

@SoM - Either you're reusing a small number of passwords on lots of sites (bad idea); or have far fewer web logins than most TR forum users (I'd hazard a guess that most of us have at least a couple dozen, if not many more); or have a phenomenally good memory!

Passwordsafe, Keepass and last but not least especially for easy of managemet, a big excelsheet or PDF(for read only apps) encrypted with axcrypt.

The problem with most managers is actually usability and portability, considering I had to deal with Somewhat 350-400 passwords for home and about trice that in my former work, most password managers didn't cut it from an ease of use standpoint, sadly enough. Depending on how you use it an excel with axcrypt is decent, but a password manager it is not, and you do have to be carefull not to leave temporary files lying around or on disk, so never use on unencrypted disks, etc.

RoboForm has browser integration, and it can be stored in the cloud or locally.

What we do at work is store it "locally" on the shared storage on the server. So if anyone steals a computer, it doesn't actually have the passwords for all the sites on it even if they did have the master password. Because the stolen computer would no longer be on the network.

It's got other nifty things like finger print reader compatibility, if you have that built into your laptop. Or an optional OSD keyboard to beat keyloggers, etc.

That's kind of a dick move.

I keep all of my passwords and other critical data on a hardware-encrypted USB stick so it's physically impossible for an attacker to get them without actually entering my apartment and absconding with my stuff, and even then they only have a few attempts before it bricks. Mine's discontinued but Ironkey is supposedly good. Not cheap, and generally not as convenient as something like 1Password but for cyberpunk-class security it's hard to beat a physical access requirement. A less paranoid but more economical option is to use TrueCrypt on a standard USB stick.

LastPass Pocket enables you to access your LastPass passwords while offline. I've never had cause to use it myself, I love the browser integration of regular LastPass.
