1)I don't think a better IGP would improve performance using Virtu MVP. I'm going beyond my know-how, but as I understand it, MVP uses the IGP as a sort of "pre-frame buffer" so the dGPU ONLY has to work on / store the frames that will actually make it to the monitor. I think the work that the IGP has to do is pretty light and can be handled equally as quick on all ranges of modern IGPs.
2) The (tragic) reason nobody uses Lucid Virtu anymore is because their game support is awful...as in, non-existant for games less than 2 years old. It's really too bad, I think they had a very good idea. Maybe this is something that AMD/Nividia can roll into their driver suites in the future. (assuming they can get around the patents Lucid assumedly has).
