Hi, the GREEN LED on my shuttle pc (the one that's supposed to flicker when the hard drive is running) won't go on.

Instead, the YELLOW light flickers. According to the motherboard manual, it should be the GREEN that flickers with the connector that I've plugged in. I've tried EVERY combination but I can't green only yellow.

I do have 2 lights, one yellow and one green but the GREEN doesn't light up no matter what configuration I use. I thought the green bulb might be damaged but the bulb works (it worked with the old motherboard with no problems).

Otherwise, my shuttle pc works flawlessly.

Anyone have any idea on what it could be?

I'm not sure how your hooking things up, but any build that I've done the green led has always been the power led and the yellow has always been the drive indicator led. The headers on the board should be marked as to which plug goes where. The plugs from the case should also be marked with their designated placement. The only thing you should have to figure out is the polarity. If the led doesn't light one way reverse the plug and it should light correctly...............

It just means that you've got the hard drive LED and the power LED reversed on teh plugs on teh mobo...then again, the yellow light is the hard drive light on MOST cases...like all 3 of mine...just reverse the other one, and the green should light up as long as power is on.

Thanks for the info. Especially the part about the YELLOW LIGHT being the hard drive activity indicator light.

As to the GREEN power indicator light, turns out I had it twisted the connector in the wrong direction on the motherboard. I twisted it so the markings faced the FRONT PANEL and now the green light is solid.
