Newegg.com is arguably the most popular site for US enthusiasts/builders to get their PC hardware. Sometimes though, they make mistakes and/or take advantage of their market position. And with so much popularity, someone is bound to notice. Share your odd newegg finds here.
I was browsing the (almost daily) newegg email deals this morning when I noticed something strange. Cryptocurrency is all the rage these days, so obviously newegg is going to cater to this new crowd with seemingly bottomless pockets. I happened across this supercombo aimed at mining. 3 - 7970's, an anemic (cheap) CPU, mobo, some ram, PSU, etc etc. But, as I looked a little closer, something strange caught my eye. The mobo only has 2 - PCIe x16 slots.....where is that third GPU supposed to go? None of the PCIe x1 slots are open-ended.
