I'm not very well versed in the headphone area but I have heard good things about this website: http://www.headphone.com/index.php Give them a call and chat about what would be best for yourself.

Probably because threads asking for advice on speakers/headphones crop up every couple of months. Just scan the main page for audio-related topics in this forum (Echo Vale). Speaker and headphone tech, unlike most of the stuff discussed on this site, does not change all that quickly. As such, the same things get recommended over and over. Also, when asking for recommendations for products such as this, a price range is always helpful.

In the $200 range, here's a recommendation for a pair of mostly neutral sounding closed headphones with a bit of extra emphasis on the bass (however still accurate and not artificially boosted mid bass like you get with phones like Monster beats or Denon D1100s).

The ATH-M50 is the defacto closed can at $150. I myself have a couple. They are great.

I have them as well, awesome cans, be sure to feed them well. Got them at one of those amazon or ebay sales for $100.00, couple of months ago.

edit: my actual problem with these is that I got them for music production, and everything sounds just good with them, I mean, everything you throw at it sounds really good, which is not that good for EQ, mixing etc, lol.

keep a close aye at http://www.slickdeals.net, they usually offer and link these cans at good prices. these are the current offers for ATH-M50's
