1. I wish the "email me" option defaulted to no rather than yes (I NEVER want to get email about this) or at least remembered my last choice (or had a preference in my profile to set the default if this is one of those things that splits 50-50).
2. I wish the report-spam button got disabled in some visually obvious way when a post has already been reported.

I see you don't read forum article postings or get downvoted for the smallest thing! Sometimes "vile" is putting it nicely! I can only imagine how rough the R&P forum gets! There might be certain issues with abuse, but TR isn't a vile place like so many other bits of the internet, so I think it could work.

Nope, especially with the current volume.

ronch wrote:Not sure if my observation warrants investigation but in one particular forum area (Technology > Mobile Tech) there's this poster who seems to ask the most mundane questions spanning multiple threads. Dunno if this guy's just a complete noob or he's up to something, but he posted THIRTEEN different threads one right after another asking stupid questions all on DEC. 31. 2013. Is that suspicious or what! The reason I'm saying this is I suspect some spammers first post something legit, pretending to be someone new needing advice to gain the trust of the community then follow it up a few posts later with spam. Some of them who post spam appear to have posted more than once already, and if their prior posts were spam then they would've been banned right away, but apparently their prior posts weren't spam yet because they were still able to follow it up with newer posts. Or it could also be possible that all those posts by that suspicious guy under Mobile Tech are just a part of their efforts to hack TR, right?
