Please support a petition to get SSK a Platinium level subscription, whereby he gets 5 votes OR AN EVEN BETTER SEPARATE VOTING SYSTEM FOR SSK ONLY as devised by our own excellent Glorious, and his own icon. He will be the only one to ever get this level, and since he is the local King, it only makes sense.
His comments should also be free from moderation, so we can all enjoy his wisdom.
In a private discussion with scott, he implied he would be willing to do so, provided there was no great outcry from the users. Our history goes back a long time, and we have a lot of mutual respect. He feels it helps make things right for how the business separation between us happened.Please refrain from posting anti-SSK posts, as Scott also requested that you respect SSK for his years of good service, expertise, and great posts.

@glorious Me and scott have been friends for a long time. I used to be an employee at Techreport, but we had a falling out in terms of business, but we never let it impact our friendship. How else do you think I survived the Hammer so long? We have much love and respect for each other.

I kinda just figured you survived the hammer because your antics are amusing. I'll admit you drove me crazy when you first got here, but now, somehow, I find you to be much more endearing. I don't really know why. I guess because you're part of the ensemble cast of front-page commentators, any one of whom I'd miss.

Case in point, this proposal.

@ronch: I think you're confusing some things. The point here isn't so we can be equal, it's so I can be better. My betterness doesn't come from payment, it comes from within. Guys, I would like us to focus back on the important questions. How can we delete yogis post without him knowing, or at least edit it, and how best can we make sure that SSK get his much needed platinum? Its all well and good to complain about the voting system, but lets not forget that without it we wouldn't know which of you are subhuman. Assuming we successfully edit/delete yogi, which I'm sure we will, its safe to say we are still at 100%!!!

It's part of his charm. You should see all of his shirtless pics on Facebook. I feel much more confident about myself as a man after seeing those.

I think SSK should get platinum only if someone else gets demoted to bronze or wood.

Bronze perks:
-PERMANENT CAPSLOCK FOR ULTIMATE READABILITY
-Access to the front porch, where no one else actually hangs out.
-Instead of just 1 thumb of voting power, now you have an entire 1/2.
-New single-letter print mode, now you can view each letter of an article on a separate page.

Wood perks:
-ALLTHEFEATURESOFBRONZEPLUS
-Server-side regex to remove all spaces, punctuation, and underscores from all your posts
-Votes still count as 1/2 but also have a 1/2 chance of being registered the opposite way
-CSS permanently disabled for the fastest theme rendering possible.

Obviously once we vote on who gets bronze and wood then we can promote SSK to platinum. Candidates?

I like how Ars does it where you can see the number of positive and negative votes.

I also think that Platinium should be reserved for TR BBQ/meetup attendees.

Great points, dtm. Well thought out! I'm always in favor for reducing others status in a clear and socially determinable way. As for platinum for hookups, that's entirely counter to the point. Only SSK would ever get platinum. That's kinda the point.

I think you mean "tiene". Tener means to have. At least "to have" cojones makes no sense.

There should just be a third thumb, the SSK thumb. If he approves, it's up. He disapproves, it's down.

Only proper for a king. His vote isn't worth more than ours: it's a whole other category.
