Grabber Software

Sun Mar 23, 2014 9:03 am

Hello Everyone!

It's me Geekygirl...been gone for long time but here I am again!

I used to have this sweet software that would grab any type of file from a website, like pictures, videos, zip files. It has been so long since I used it, that I can't remember the name. Anyone know of any software that can do this, please? I need to be able to grab photos, videos and zip files from a website.

Thanks so much!

I think I too had something like that. But the only thing that pops
into my head is the word "spider".
Sorry there is not more.

Have you tried the Down Them All add-in for Firefox?

I'm more of a Linux user, but wget could be what you are looking for and there appears to be a windows version too. It is quite powerful and can grab individual files or recursively grab whole directory structures.

I vouch for this add-on as being nothing but utterly awesome at grabbing stuff.

thanks for the help! I am going to try the Firefox add-on first but I had just found he wget website and was trying to read through it. Sadly since my head injury, I have a really hard time being a geekygirl and reading manuals
