Kaveri laptops?

Sat Apr 05, 2014 5:27 pm

Was wondering if anyone has seen any news or rumors about when will Kaveri debut in the laptop form-factor? From AMD's roadmaps it looked like the earlier part of this year but Q1 is already over. Any news/rumors/speculations? From early benchmarks, it looks like 35-45W might be the sweet spot for Kaveri, which will make it an interesting chip for full-sized laptops but so far it doesn't seem to be talked about anywhere.

They introduced Richland right before the summer. Perhaps that is what they're going to do.

Not sure why AMD has been quiet. And some people are still waiting for that A8-7600 that only the reviewers have.

Indeed.

I would like to see a full line up mobile Kaveri's and see how they stack up to the 2 Ghz Kabini quad.

They should thoroughly trash a 2GHz Kabini quad, but my guess is they're having problems with yields.
