Contest Entry :)

Fri Apr 11, 2014 5:05 pm

Kudos to the lads at Techreport for giving my babies a chance to shine

Image
Top left is an Asus, I bought her in 2010 out of my savings. Still rocking an Athlon 64 3200, two 512MB RAM sticks, and a 80GB Hitachi 80GB. Haven't use it for a while due to constant blue screen.

Lower right is my first love, Delsy (lol). My dad brought her home in about 2004 and I played Road Rash on it everyday, good times. She have an Intel Celeron, two 256MB RAM sticks and a 160GB HDD. Out of everything, she is still going strong with that Window XP (2 minute boot up may be a pain though :D).

Others are pictures of both, Dell on top (Still my baby), Asus bottom.

That's all I have, good luck guys.

I never threw my Delsy away because every time I boot it up and see how slow it is, nostalgia always hit hard. :)

I had already started on my spring cleaning, but hadn't taken the time to take off my side intake fan yet.
200mm's tend to grab a lot of dust. This rig's first spring cleaning. :)

Christmas was so long ago! Its time to clean it. Dust bunnies will have to relocate for the season.

Cleaned it out about a week ago but yeah, I have to lay it sideways or the fan will fall out (clips are broke) and the psu started squeeling about a month ago, I've give up on it. It's been going strong for 10+ years, I think it's time to put it out of it's misery.

Oi. Wait a sec, I had that exact same HSF on a Socket A Athlon build.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Sorry about that. When you're a mod "Edit Post" and "Quote Post" look identical once triggered. We try hard not to, but it still happens from time to time.

Wow. I think I will pass on entering this contest on the fact that these poor bastards need a new PC much worse than I.
In fact, just give it to that guy with the slot Pentium 2. That POS brings back so many bad memories....soooo sloooooooow.

Anyways, good luck guys!!!

I really wish I had a picture of my brothers PC. I gave him my 6870 when I bought an R9 280X and the fan on one of his 4870's had a full solid ring of hair and dust blocking the intake.

Esproc's wins, based on you can't identify if it's mold, dust, tape, or foreign matter.
