I wasn't usign Red Hate to begin with, so good riddance and maybe AOL will be a benefit somehow. At the very least, they've removed the artificial standard Red Hat was making themselves out to be. Maybe now people will begin to realize that pretty much all the big Linuxes have equal claims to the title of 'standard', and only compliance to the LSB matters.

Hi,

Not keen, although I wonder if big corporates will think that this 'legitimises' Redhat, having major money behind it?

I think this gives some interesting insight into AOLs strategy. It's pretty clear now that the goal over at AOL is to create a complete platform to compete with AOL. I bet in 5 years you'll be able to choose between a computer loaded with AOL or Windows (of course, both will suck).
