My rig

1.4 AMD
Soyo Dragon +
256 DDR 2100
Elsa Gfce 2 MX 400

I'm at the default 2x133 FSB and 1.75 CPU core voltage.

What should I tweak on first?
What should I do after I tweak?
What is the point of overclocking, just to have a faster pc or better game play or just cause I can?

Try pushing the FSB up a bit, to say 135/270 MHz DDR or 138MHz/276 Mhz DDR, this may require jacking the core volatage to stabilize the CPU. Start out slow, then get more aggressive as you become experienced/confident.

And yes, yes, and yes.

So I set my FSB to 140

Sandra info

CPU is 1470MHz
and at a cool 96.8 deg
core voltage is holding 1.76

I notice new apps open faster don't have any instability probs yet so what next
150?
Maybe i'll try RtCW now and report.

Your temps are screwed up, mine does the same thing. Your 'Power/AUX' is the CPU. Board temp is board temp. 'CPU temp' is ambient, most likely.

Sorry for the bad news.

If you are air cooled, then it always runs like this:

CPU (hottest)
board (middle)
board/case (coolest)

With that said, 150-160F is the safe maximum temperature for Tbirds. Be careful, even 150F is pretty hot.

http://www.overclockers.com/

Above are some very good numbers. Watch your temps. These higher numbers are watercooled.
