Ummmm...correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Frobozz's wife going to be having a baby around that time?
Good bye everyone.

LOL @ TheGleek

The wife isn't due until Jult 17-18th

Not sure if this is going to fly. Before the baby might actually be better then afterwards. I'm open to the possibility of this though.

I live across the street from Troy, so that's not totally accurate.

Troy, Michigan. Are there any baseball teams near there? I mean like minor leagues? And don't say the Tigers.

Back Yard: check
Tables: nope, all I have is a small 4 seat patio table with umbrella
Chairs: I can rustle up around 8-10 chairs probably
Gas grill: check
Drinks: nope - I think I would need help here
Food: I can probably buy the burgers and dogs and that kinda thing
Condiments: check
Someplace for people to crash: um one couch, a mattress and box spring in our (disaster area) basement. Floor space in baby room and basement.

Figure the eating and bs'ing can go on in the back yard/driveway.

People can play cards inside in the kitchen; we've fit 6 around the table before. Euchre and Texas Hold'Em poker will be the games. I have all the cards and chips needed. We will play for fun.

Living room: Room for about 6, can watch movies or whatever.

Computer room: Two computer chairs (two computers) and maybe a couple more chairs in there for people to sit down and stuff.

So I think I just more table area in the backyard and drinks and maybe some chairs and I'm game.

I actually like this idea Gleek, glad you thought of it. Heh

The date is good, but I dunno about an all-weekend-long party? People crashing is probably alright though.

One thing: I haven't run any of this by the wife yet. I will update accordingly. I'm curious what the prospective turnout might be. Maybe Howard can assist finding this out since he is the activities director.

:D

Edit: spelling and - I might be able to borrow a friends Poker table. Perhaps playing in the (open) garage will be another option. Also I DO have two card tables..

Here's what the wife says:

I am kind of hesitant on this being so close to my due date. Remember that I can go 2 weeks before or after my due date. Plus, Danni always throws a big 4th of July party. Plus, it is so busy in Clawson on that weekend. Can’t you pick another time. I am also not game on people staying the night. In Gleek’s first post he said no one is sleeping over. I am just not sure about this. I would need to know an approximate count. But, I really would rather it be before July.

So...people staying over might not be so good.
Funny I didn't notice that in Gleek's post initally.

Danni is my wife's brother's girlfriend whom is also organizing my wife's baby shower. Come to think of it, it really is busy during that weekend in Clawson because there is a big festival. What about the previous weekend?

I wouldn't be able to make a July 4th thing either. As to staying overnight, I wouldn't be in for that anyway (just have to make sure to either bring non drinking Howard or non drinking Action Jim with me to drive home  ) But yeah, that is pretty damn close to her due date and let me tell you, any time after 36 weeks is go time! OTOH, is there any better place for a child to be brought into the world than surrounded by TR-types?

No guarantees. I'll be in the Andes, not the Amazon. Will an Inca mummy suffice?

Besides, it's not like your wife will allow a shrunked head, a bottle of spit-juice, or a monkey-skull machete in your house anyway. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let something that cool rot in your shed.
Good bye everyone.

Sure she would, as long as its kept out of ankle-biter reach and in the back room (aka "Guyland").

I was reading the tech reports. You can always have your party on June 19th or 20th. This will be something that you and Gleek do, though. I’m not going to be up for entertaining since I am getting bigger and bigger.

What about June 19th/20th everyone?

19th, iffy. 20th, I might be able to swing that.

And if she is really serious about allowing this nonsense at 8+ months pregnant, I would like to nominate Mrs. FroBozz for some sort of sainthood.

Does your whole group of friends up there call gleek by his online name instead of his real name, FroBozz? I mean, my wife never refers to Starfalcon as Starfalcon or HowardDrake as Howard. She calls Action Jim Jim, but that's because his real name is...Jim.

(Monty Python) there are those that would call me......Jim(/Monty Python)

Nope, I changed it...she called him his real name.

She does call him Gleek sometimes though. Gleek's ex called him Gleek, I thought that was funny. But then she was as much a geek as either of us.
