Aspiring to be in a few years. Right now im trying to build a portfolio and learning all the stuff i can, and in a year or two we are a couple of people thats aiming for starting a company doing some media stuff. Photography, Video, Articles, etc. But theres alot of work in the meantime, drivers license, building capital(both money and show off work), equipment, lights, studio, camera, getting the idea finalized and formulated, etc.Are there any other pro shooters on this forum?
liquidsquid wrote:TheGleek, you need a new camera, dude. Nothing particularly wrong with composition, exposure, etc, but your pics would be a lot nicer if simply taken with a better quality camera with a few more pixels. Look at some of the new camera releases that are really affordable and small. I don't want to be an ass, but if you are going really cool places like that, you will want to look back at those pictures with some decent quality later on
After that orchid ive been experiementing with it more and more. Because i also found the effect being pretty novel, and not so used from what ive seen. Thats taken with a D60 i borrowed and a macro, but i usually uses flash to get the right amount of light, even outside. This as long exposures arent friendly to moving flowers.Aphasia, do you do a lot of High-key stuff? The Orchid looks pretty cool like that. My old man grows orchids for awards an fun, but every time I go over, it is dark or raining and I can't get good exposures in his greenhouse. Also the V1 has a max aperature of 2.8 which leads to lousy, blurry pictures when the flowers are moving in the air from fans. I need to play some more.
I am getting the itch to get a good DSLR like the Oly8080. No dark image subtraction on long exposures, and I have been trying to take lightning shots and miss quite a lot during the dark frame.
Sure, is 1600x1200 ok. Just give me a mailadress and ill send it to you.Very impressive. I want to make my wife a wallpaper of the tulip one? Can I get a higher res version?
