software for generating your own ringtones?

Sun Aug 01, 2004 12:36 pm

has anyone had experience with Xingtone 3.x, polyphonic wizard or the like?

i'm really not feeling like paying $3 a tone for music that i already own. i'd rather cut up an MP3 and send it to my phone.

if that's how it works.

anyone who's made their own ringtones and liked the software, i'd be glad to hear from you.

thanks

It really depends on your phone and what its capabilities are. Does it just do midi-style or can it do more complex stuff? IIRC most ringers are either MIDI files or QCP files, both which have plenty of freely available software to work with them.

Xingtone v3.x is only $15, but i was hoping to hear from someone who had used it before i fork over the $$$.
