IDEQ video + capture

Tue Sep 28, 2004 12:45 pm

I have a biostar IDEQ 200, i forget which model, its an intel chipset. i tried putting my video card from my other system and it was too long.

what cards will fit in this case?

i want to play some decent gaems but also want to be able to capture tv and burn old vhs tape on the DVD burner.

Should i go with an ATI all in one card (and will it fit) or should i get separate video card and capture card and if so which?

thanks alot for any help.

What was your old video card? nVidia cards tend to be longer than their ATi counterparts, so a Radeon 9800 or X800 series card might fit where an GeForce FX or GeForce6800 series card would not.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

The ATI AIW X800 looks like a good option if it will fit.

the AIW line is the card you want if you need vid capture.. The X800 is the top-of-the-line to be sure, and if you're a gamer it'll come in handy.

gaming-wise, absolutely...but as far as TV and vid capture features go, I think they're basically equals.

Yes they are the same, the only difference is the actual performance of the new GPU.
