Well I really want to get FreeBSD up and running w/a GUI but its gettin hard to do. I have a GF2 MX-400 and I cannot conifg X to work right w/it. Any one know nething I can do to help solve my problems. As of now all i can do is run X at 320x240 and w/out panning so it makes it impossible to use.
I am new to BSD so a dumbed down version would be appreciated.

Which tool are you using to configure X ? Also, which release of FreeBSD?

I am using FreeBSD 4.5 and i have tried XF86Config and XF86Setup.
I finally gave up and threw a POS 16MB no-brand video card in.
Would still like a resolution though.

Install the port of Xfree 4. Then get the beta nvidia drivers from nvidia.netexplorer.org. You'll get good 2D support and 3D will be ready in a few more months.
