Which Graphics card????

HI all!!!

I need some help an was wondering if there was anybody out there in the world of the cybernet that could help me reach a solution to my problem.

First all here is my spec:

Tyan tiger MP motherboard, dual Athlon MP CPU's running at 1.2Ghz, 512 DDR, Elsa synergy 3 graphic card, DV 500 plus video card.

My Motherboard sadly passed away last week an i have ordered another which should be arriving next week some time. i would like to change my graphics card an the one i am currently using is based on the nvidia quadro 2 MXR chipset. As you would know that elsa got brought out by a company called PNY technologies an it is running on 32 MB of ram which is one of the reason i am looking at buying another to replace the old one. i was wondering whether i could add sum more memory to the grahics card itself an if not then which one would u suggest that i would get??

I am a graphic?multimedia designer an i use the machine for various things for example Video editing, 3D design an Photo editing.

Sounds like you dont need a gaming card...how many monitors are you running? Something like this may fit the bill...

well basically, i am not really keen on the matrox graphics card. i was actually looking at getting the nvidia qudro 4 900 GXL but was wondering if it would work on my motherboard.

i was also looking at selling my elsa synergy 3 which is based on the qudro 2 MXR chipset. does any1 know how much it would fetch me??????

do you need a professional videocard? Else a plain and easy 6600/x700 would be sufficient enough for your needs... and won't cost that much
