the 915 is on it's way into the next Shuttle SFF system. Keep your eyes peeled!

I think this will be the basis for my College PC, unless the folks at iWill slap PCI-E into that dual-Opteron SFF :)

Does PCI-e reaaly mean that much to you that you would favor a preshott over dual opterons?
No matter how bad the new homepage sucks or how bungled the new management is...

At this point, I don't know. I'll be getting an Acer TabletPC once the Dothan 2.0 version becomes available [hopefully it'll have the newest incarnation of ATI GPU]. I'll be getting an SFF for the dorm at some point down the line. Those two are the picks, at the moment. It'll come down to the whole package, including SATA RAID performance, CPU speed, graphics interface/performance, memory bandwidth, and even looks.

Why? It's a laptop, and you can flip it around and write! Very simple. I don't really understand the tablet-only tablets.

Way to go thread digging to throw insults btw, very nice indeed.

I wouldn't worry about PCI-E on SFF anyway... what SFF has more than one PCI slot anyway?
and how would you swamp the PCI bus with only one slot anyway? I'm sure it can be done with RAID or something... but a good NF3 should do just as well.

Devices on PCI bus != number of PCI slots.

The SFFs are sometimes pretty bad WRT the number of devices on PCI. Often your LAN, sound, and firewire are on PCI, and sometimes even SATA/ATA RAID controllers. It can get kind of cramped on that 133MB/s bus, even with only one slot left to suck up the leftovers.

No, but my next toaster is likely to have an IPv6 address.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

They have, Have a look at this the Iwill ZMAXd2... Dual Opteron (can go dual core for four processors) has two PCI-e x16 slots and can SLI.

Have a look at this from hexus

only problem is that the graphics cards need to be single slot, so no 6800Ultras
iMac 27” | MacBook Air.
Cricket and AFL (Fremantle Dockers) tragic.

i know dorm rooms are small but most (not all) SFF's are kinda loud... i had a roomate my freshman year in the dorm (the only year i lived there) who was a SETI@Home geek and had his fans going loud all the time. Even at night...

Drove me crazy. Funny enough though that was the least of my problems with him. I moved out at the end of the first semester. That guy sucked.
