Can anyone list some good processors and motherboards that are in that price range combined?

AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+

You just need a cheap fan (SVC) and a cheap mobo (newegg)

processor for 146, mobo for 91.50. With shipping, the price is probably your upper limit. I have had 3 gigabyte mobos, and they were all very stable.

Please be more specific about what makes a motherboard "good" for your application.
Socket-939?
Integrated Video?
PCI-Express?
SLI?

That is one of the SBA posting guidelines (http://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31957) If you don't like it, then please PM one of us moderators to discuss.

If you're on dial-up, it's click...and wait... and there you are. :(

It's easy to forget about that once you get used to broadband.

Just an old sheepdog waiting for some nasty wolves to show...ive got more than enough teeth left.
