I got engaged! Woohoo!!!

Fri Aug 05, 2005 9:53 am

Yes, I think I've found the perfect match! Smart, conservative, great shot and cute to boot! We met at a pistol class a couple of years ago and I managed to smack down all the other contenders for her attention. We went back to the same class this year for a refresher and I popped the question right before the practical part of the class.

Please keep the "redneck wedding" comments to a minimum, thanks. But ya got to admit, it is kind of funny...

Looks like you got a heck of a catch there! Wish you two the best.

*edit: what are you carrying? Looks like she's got a Glock but can't tell what you've got.

Walther P99 Titanium in .40 cal. It did pretty well. I had some operator-induced problems at the end of the course, but I was very very tired.

Nice. Walther makes a fine weapon. I wish I could get my significant other out on the range.....she's in the Army, but doesn't see the appeal of shooting for fun.

You're a lucky man. Again, congratulations.

Good luck. My wife doesn't like to shoot, sad to say. But how many women can I debate theology with as pillowtalk?

Understandable. The bride of the upcomming wedding is one of my best friends (and ex-girlfriend). So I get to stand for her.

To make matters a bit more strange, her fiance has a chick for his Best Man. If you saw this girl, you could understand why the confusion. :o
