Maxtor 200GB SATA with Promise Ultra ATA/133 combo PCI card

If your Mother board is an older one and doesn't have any Sata ports and your looking to give sata a try. I just picked up the above drive at Comp USA for $99 bucks, no rebates, no coupons or other mail in crap. The board gives you two sata ports and one ide. The only thing not supplied in the box was a SATA pwr connector/adaptor.

I didn't buy that exact kit but I did buy a retail 250GB DiamondMax 10. It started going funny after a few months. RMA'd it and Maxtor sent me a refurbed 300GB DiamondMax 10. I thought that was pretty sweet getting 50GB for free. It's a nice drive. As hard drives go Maxtors are kind of loud. Especially in my Tsunami Dream case.
