BFG 6800 GT OC or X800XL

I hope this was not posted before , anyways i need to pull my 6600 gt to put in my AXPM machine so i need a new one , torn between these two cards

x800xl, You can overclock that if you want. It is the faster card at stock speed.
Network theory sucks.

from what i can tell the gt smokes the xl card only in doom 3 , every other bench the card stays with the ultra and the price is not that bad

Yeah, you have to determine if you play games designed around the doom engine or not. Other than that - go for price.

Bingo. x800XL > 6800gt except openGL.

GeForce 7800GT is what I would choose today. That also means choosing PCI-Express X16.

All depends on your wallet..i know your gf is going to whine no matter which one you get. Id get the XL800XL :lol:

The BFG 6800 GT OC performs just like an Ultra which stays with the x800xl when in doom and most of the time smokes the xl according to TR articlIs
Its a little more on price , i think best buy has them for like 350.00
Need a good excuse lickety for the g/f
