Domain name registration

Wed Feb 12, 2003 10:04 pm

Where is a cheap place to register a domain name and have that company host the webpage and email for that domain? It wont be getting hardly any traffic at all, but all the prices im seeing for the reg, web hosting, and email hosting are outrageous. Any advice?
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

what kind of prices are "good" to you?
what are you hoping for... ??

i havent done alot of looking.. but most of the super cheap places usually have some scam deal where you dont really hold the domain name.. its more like they hold it for you.

register.com does the e-mail thing for $30/year registration is $35/year on top of that ... so thats $65 a year for mail.
You don't have to feel safe to feel unafraid.

You're probably going to get your best deal having two different places for your domain registration and your web space.

For the domain name, let me suggest GoDaddy.com. $8.95 a yr for domain registration.

I'm getting webspace through 100megswebhosting.com. I'm paying $10 per month for 100MB of space, MySQL, Web-based email, Perl, PHP... just all kinds of web goodness!

Check out http://www.doteasy.com . They do domain name registration and web hosting in one package. You even have access to a web-based e-mail and create e-mail accounts for other people.
