Front panel tempurature readout

Wed Mar 12, 2003 4:09 am

I have this fantastic case... its great.. its silver... its has this great thing! It has a temperature readout on the front !! There is only one very tiny problem.......

I have no clue how to connect it.

My case was display and i got a deal on it.. it was missing spacers and such but thats not a problem.

There are 2 black and red cords... and 1 2 pin white cord with a small tab on the end with 2 prongs which im guessing is for the temp readout...

suggestions anyone?

No clue, though your white wire with the bit on the end does sound like a thermistor. Can you take/upload pictures of the wires and connectors?

The white thingy is your temperature probe. Tape it where you want to measure the temp. The other thingies are 4-pin hard-drive type power connectors. They probably connect to a fanbus or hard-drive cooler, especially if your case looks like this.
If your LCD temperature display is blank, the battery has probably run down. This uses a standard button-type SR44 watch/calculator battery that is easily replaced.
