If you wish to debate the videos and their makers' intended viewpoint, find another thread. Even better, take it to PM.

Astonishing Game Engine

Postposted on Wed Jun 21, 2006 9:51 pm

This is an astonishing new next-gen game engine that will be used in the next MMO - it can render entire planets!

Didn't seem like there was much detail to it. The earth's sky was fairly blotchy i would say. But it might be from the video's quality thou.

Reminds me of the EA game "Spore" that is in progress.. you get to see the entire universe zooming out at the end of the video. I like the sound of a game where u get to fully customise the charachters you use.

Wow! Spore is the future of gaming! There's nothing currently on the market that resembles anything like Spore. Awesome!

I know, theres nothing with this kind of customizability (I just made up that word?) :D Can't wait for it to be completed and released in stores.

Yeah you're probably right there.. except it seems you can also individually control each one, or at least choose one to control out of the crowd to control (and the others are all A.I. I guess?) I wonder if you can make truly Unique creatures, as in, nobody else can actually create one exactly the same as you have created on your own computer? Kind of like, there were unique weapons in Diablo2 and some can only be bought and not found in game, as they have unique properties.. hmm this will be interesting to see!

I scanned through the posted links, and I don't think this has been posted yet. I was surfing around TheForce.net and found this link. It's a collection of Star Wars spoofs which I thought were funny, and I think you Star Wars fans will get a kick out of em. :D

My favorites were Pitching Lucas and Blue Milk.

^ taken from a recently locked thread... But very interesting question lordtot!

I saw some sex survey a year or so ago (From COLORS magazine) and it claimed that the japanese have the LEAST amount of sex per day/week/month/year in comparison to ALL other countries in the entire world. Perhaps that statistic speaks for itself and by large it's creating a large population of perverts?

No direct link due to overuse of Javascript:

Scroll down to "Declaration of Independence Performance" and pick your bandwidth/player options.

The premise is that the Declaration was written to be an oration. After watching this I heartily agree.
