So I am going to be very bored next month when I go to Fort Irwin California for some "training". I'd like to have something cool to play with. Does anyone have one of these? Are the games worth the 40 bucks a pop for them?

its a nice little thing to bring along but if u have a old laptop laying around like a 486 u can easy run a emulater program and play the games that way

It's not that great if you value your eyesight (unless you have some kinda bionic nightvision). Seriously though it is DARK!

Cool. GBA at NTC. Unless those M1A1's have a cigarette lighter and then you should go with a PSone with LCD. More games :grin:

Heh, yeah, well I'm a staff weenie right now, so I figure the GBA will keep me busy on those long nights when I draw Battle Captain duty.

Thats not too far-fetched, during my NTC rotation way back in 1997 we had a AC/DC switch with a power strip connected to the APU on the M1A1C, with this we ran everything from coffe makers to TV's we even had a Playstation with a TV. Can you believe out in the middle of the Freaking desert at night watching the Simpsons or playing games on the PS.

So I wound up buying a used gameboy color and a bunch of used games from ebgames.com.

Ought to keep me busy for a month.
