Mon Sep 03, 2007 10:21 am

I have some cleanup to do after the cutover last weekend. There will be some brief outages and possibly some comments lost due to database fiddling.

I really don't know if it is just an attack of almost everyone or not.

OTOH, good job Steve for finally fixing the forum left column? :)

I use Opera 9.23 for Windows Vista. I don't seem to have the same problem you do.

I upgraded to opera 9.23 and it still does it. It has to be a problem related to opera because it does it with Opera 9.23 under Windows XP and Ubuntu.

Dang it, roylance, your forum is eating some posts.

There _was_ an announcement :)

If you're going to be eating posts, why not just shut down the forum for a bit while you make your changes instead. Announcement or no, premeditated eating of posts isn't a good thing.

OK, that's all done. There were a couple periods during which comments would have been lost, approx 2:15-2:30 and 3:30-3:45.

Sorry for any inconvenience. Except for vrock, I made sure to destroy as many of his posts as possible. :)

I think there's only one dude that wants his posts to be eaten and head into the oblivion, but it's not Vrock.

Edit: oops didn't make sense the first time.

In retrospect, it is an honor to be chosen to feed the Forum Gods *bows*.

And hey, I got too many stinkin' posts anyway. Demote me to Gerbil In Training and let me start all over again!

For some reason on my computer here at work, the A/A button isn't working. It works fine in IE, but not FF (2.0.0.6). I'm going to try clearing session/cookies and restarting FF.

UPDATE: ok, it seems to be working fine now. Weird *shrug*
