PS3 display issues

Wed Nov 21, 2007 6:05 pm

So i finally got my PS3 in after searching everywhere for a 60gb version...anyhow i got the system up to date and its capable of folding now...but when i fire it up it makes my display flicker almost every 30 seconds or so and makes a snow kinda effect in the background....my display is listed below. But has anyone else had these kinda problems before? i'm also using an HDMI cable from the ps3 into the display.

I've heard of many people with westinghouse screens having issues with the PS3 ( http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/t ... 12161.html )
Try putting in your TV model and PS3 in a search over on http://www.avsforum.com to see if it's a common problem and if there is a fix, if not you may just have a defective piece somewhere

I was able to fix the problem and just in case anyone else has the problem here is the solution:

All you have to do is while the PS3 is running and your display is turned on...unplug the HDMI cable from the PS3...wait a few seconds...then plug it back in and it resyncs to your display getting rid of the flashing and snow effects.
