How often to companys put out new motherboards (on newegg).

Depends on when those products become available for companies like Newegg to put on-line.
If motherboard manufactures are pumping out new motherboards, then you're gonna see a lot of new mb's on line. If a particular chipset isn't so hot, then you're not going to see a lot of updates.
