lucky. We're in a warm stint now, with temps over freezing and a little rain predicted, followed by another cold spell. It will mean ice everywhere! again!

And by rode I mean had sex with. And by had sex with I mean assured she was in the passenger seat of my car and buckled up while I drove the speed limit. Giggity Gig.

Edit I just got back from a run, sweating my ass off. It's almost humid out.

We're having a day off today it looks like from the pounding we've been getting over the past couple days here in the bay area. 400,000 people with out power, hurricane type winds, blizzard type conditions up in the mountains, and bridge closures is what we've been going through.
Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.

Took me 11 hours to drive 400 miles today on sucky roads. One of the roads was closed but it was only a hundred dollar fine if they catch you so I took it anyway

Nope it was around 40 degrees :o It was snowing and the wind blowing 40+ MPH. I was driving down the road and had a gust of wind hit the trailer I was pulling. When I looked back the trailer was at about a 45 degree angle in relation to the truck and it stayed that way for a good mile :o I didnt think it was even possible for something like that to happen. Good thing my truck is so heavy or the trailer would have took the truck with in and I would have been in the ditch.

I wonder why they closed the road

Actually the road that was closed wasnt the one that happened on. Visibility on the closed road was 1/4 mile most of the time versus a few feet on the road that was open. The biggest problem on the road that was closed was a few places where there was a foot of snow on it. Other than that driving conditions were far far better on the closed road than the open one.

Does your truck have a decent 4WD? Or are you afraid to use it while you're towing?

Got to love Montana

Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:22 am

Just woke up this morning to -19F temp and a -32F wind chill here in SE Montana. Been through cold here before but this is a little ridiculous. Looks like the kids will be late for school since I forgot to plug my truck in last night.

Hah. Minnesota is going through a bit of a cooling too. From 5pm last night to 5pm tonight the temp will drop a nice 40 degrees F.

It's supposed to be a solid week of crap up here too. It's hovering around -32C here right now, not sure what Windchill would make it, but I'd bet it's in the -45C territory at least! :o

Got my truck started and the kids off to school. Using the time now before I go to work to go around and find all the drafts in the house.

The 4WD works fine in it. All 400 miles yesterday were in 4WD. If using it breaks it then it must be pretty poorly built or designed in the first place

I tried that a long time ago with my water cooling rig. The water froze in the radiator and then temps started going up really fast. Ended up having to put anti freeze in the rad to keep it from freezing

A lot of 4wd systems are not made for towing, but knowing your truck, I thought it might be otherwise :D

Aren't you supposed to have some anti-freeze in there anyway to combat algae growth?
