Terrell Owens crying

Tue Jan 15, 2008 8:40 pm

Not sure how much publicity this is getting outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but people have been going on about it quite a bit here:

I never really liked T.O. and while I respect his ability I hate the T.O. drama. I really think he was being sincere here though. Your thoughts??

And yes, I'm still mourning over the Cowboys loss. :(

It seemed pretty sincere, good for him.

I wonder how Jeff Garcia and Donovan McNabb feel, looking out from under the bus and seeing him stand up for a quarterback.

Maybe T.O. is considering running for the Democratic nomination.

Not that I wouldn't hit that, but I can't believe he left Carrie Underwood for that Simpson.

Well, the Simpson is blissfully unaffected with intelligence. I've seen Holsteins with more trenchant expressions than the RomoCow.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Me too. I think I gained a little respect for the guy.
It's nice to see a little bit of the real person and not the superstar WR ego.
THIS was Dallas's year (to make the superbowl) and they blew it, I too would be totally devastated.

RomoCow - That's some funny **** right there.

Simpson, mayhaps she's a lady in the street but a freak in the bed? Angry fist of God, etc.

Eh, there was no way they were going to beat NE: porous defense, iffy running game. And frankly, I don't see this team as anywhere near the equal of the 1992-93 Cowboys that went 13-3 and won the Super Bowl. Those guys would stomp this team just like they did Buffalo (note: I am a lifelong Cowboys fan who is old enough to clearly remember the Staubach era).

As to the original poster's topic, TO was probably being sincere. He's shown a bit more maturity this year than in past years, and I hope he can keep up the positive trend.

I did say: Make the superbowl, not win it all. It was Dallas year to make the superbowl. Here I was thinking that Dallas had a good running game with Jones, Barber, and Romo's running?

Barber ran all over, but since their drives took like 10 minutes each, once they were down they really needed to throw it, and in the end it was their undoing.

Yeah, I caught that. I guess my point was "So what? They would get killed / exposed as frauds by NE." And honestly, given ANOTHER December meltdown, I really didn't think they even deserved to make the Super Bowl. Don't get me wrong, I think Romo is the real deal, but this team is not nearly the complete package that past Cowboy Super Bowl teams were.

It's been somewhat inconsistent. And perhaps I'm just spoiled, but it looks like crap compared to Emmitt Smith, Tony Dorsett, and even Herschel Walker. You could pretty much count on those guys to come up big when you needed them. Can you really say that about Julius Jones / Marion Barber?
