Great TVs and CRT monitors for sure. I haven't used one since 2005. But this is oid news because Sony was talking about ditching their CRT TV lineup back in 2004. In 2005 it became a reality. It was just a matter of 'when'?

Hmm. Sony stopped making them stateside in 2005 or 2006, I believe. I guess this means the end of the tube for international markets too? *sigh*

BTW, I'm typing this on a Sony GDM-400PS. Long live Trinitron!

Still trying to figure out how to get rid of the 19"er in the garage. Certainly was a great monitor the 3 years I used it.

I have a GDM400PS that I purchased in April, 1998. It still works great and the screen is still perfect. As long as my desk doesn't collapse under it's weight, everything is fine!

Put it on Craigslist but list it as a boat anchor.

My current TV is a Trinitron (KD-34XBR960). The first Trinitron that I bought was a 13" CPD-1304HG for use with an Amiga 2000 equipped with FlickerFreeVideo. I used it for a while six months ago before giving it away, and it still worked about as well as it ever did.
