Well, assuming that its true and he doesn't change his mind again (like he did in 2004 and 2006) he's a surefire hall of famer even if he is just keeping the records warm for Manning.

And I have to think that Aaron Rodgers is saying "about **** time!"

Yeah, it's not like Glaser hasn't been quick on the trigger a time or two in the past. An about-face wouldn't shock me.

My random guess is he'll change his mind again.

Somewhere John Madden is crying.

If it's true, that's too bad. Farve always put in an entertaining performance. Bombs, picks, shovel passes, excitement. I'll miss him.

Only because of how it affects his John Madden impression. But damn he's good.

I expect by the time mini camp rolls around, Favre will be our Favre-ite un-retired QB

It's true.
He is one of the great ones.

And the Detroit Lions are celebrating. Maybe just maybe we'll win a game in GB one of these seasons. This division will probably have the worst QB's in the league now.

As a giants fan, I feel kind of bad. I figured our destiny was to lose to Green Bay in spectacular fashion, with GB going on to a stunning upset of the Patriots. At which time, Favre triumphantly retire.
At least, in Nicaragua, perhaps the Green Bay Packers won the NFC.

It will take more than Farve leaving. Lions have sucked hard for over 15 years now.

As a Packer fan, I have mixed feelings. He's my favorite player of all time and I'll miss watching him play. OTOH, it was very unlikely that either him or the team were going to get much better than they were last year and I'm sort of looking forward to seeing what Aaron Rodgers has got.

And I think the Packers *still* have the best QB in the division.

That's like saying you have the best smelling poo in the septic tank.

I don't think the Packers will do as well this year, maybe a winning season but just barely.

Lions will probably start off like the Patriots and end up like, well the Lions.

The NFC personnel man said he'd take Rodgers over other young quarterbacks such as Cleveland's Derek Anderson, San Francisco's Alex Smith, Arizona's Matt Leinart, Minnesota's Tarvaris Jackson, Buffalo's Trent Edwards and J.P. Losman, the Jets' Kellen Clemens, Miami's John Beck and Chicago's Rex Grossman.

Not exactly a stellar list there. :x

The NFC North is going to be a battle of the suckage.

On another note I if we will ever find out if Matt Cassel is any good.

Well, the list does include a Pro Bowler (even if that's based on a half-good season).

I doubt you'll even see him in pre-season games this year. I'm sure all the starters are going to be in playing every minute of their cupcake schedule this year.

Surely an Indy fan is not accusing someone of having a cupcake schedule

Last season the Pats played:
San Diego
Cinci
Cleveland
Washington
Indy
Philly
Pitt
Dallas
NY Giants

Bunch-o-cupcakes.

Who's talking about last season, I didn't bring it up? However, I think that most will agree that the AFC South is a bit trickier than the AFC East. How many playoff teams came from each division? First they are in the AFC East which almost guarantees that they will win all 6 games. Then they have the following wins, at least on paper, in the bag. St Louis(3 wins last yr), Oakland(4 wins last yr), Kansas City(4 wins last yr), and San Francisco (5 wins last yr). That alone puts then at 10 wins. Then they have Denver(7 wins) and Arizona(8 wins), giving them a possibility at around 12 wins. Only 4 remaining teams had records over 500, Seattle (10 wins), Pittsburgh (10 wins), San Diego(11 wins), and the Colts (13 wins).

Anything can happen, and the schedule is what it is, but lets be honest, this is no difficult schedule by any stretch of the imagination.
Seems pretty basic to me. It is what it is, but it looks pretty damn easy to me.

To be honest I did not find the 2008 schedule. (I did not look very hard though).

The AFC South is a bit more difficult than the AFC east because of the jaguars, but otherwise they are both cake for the 2 top teams there.

Wow looking at the list there are some real stinker divisions like the NFC South & North.

NFC east and AFC north seem to be the toughest.

I miss Football already.

With his family "tugging" on him to play, Brett Favre has an "itch" to come out of retirement and report to training camp with the Green Bay Packers later this month, according to sources close to the team and player.
