I audit the IT control environment of fortune 500 companies and tell them whether or not they comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. I specialize in SAP. My favorite part of the job is using our proprietary ACE(Automated Controls Evaluator) tool to determine if a company has segregation of duties conflicts.
Prior to this I was in the USAF as a C-130 Navigator. Yup, wore a flightsuit to work every day. Can't beat em for comfort.

Yes, I was a Nuclear Electrician on two subs, the Seawolf (SSN 575) and the Greyling (SSN 646).

Once we reach May 24th, I hope you decide you like hanging out with us. You could be part of the cool crowd that gets to trash talk with Leor in the upcoming battle.

OK I missed this action. Should I move over my PCs back to UGN. If so, welcome to the collective, Pikaporean=) It's good to have the extra help![]()
There are many dark forces on team 2630 which the mighty UGN battles on a daily basis

Why is it that the windows SMP client runs 5 degrees cooler than running two VMwares?

I would think the VMwares would run cooler since overall utilization is a little lower than when the SMP client runs in Windows. Was your house the same temperature when you compared readings? Maybe ambient temp is affecting result?

My house has been getting up to about 78 to 80F during the day. This was not helping my poor over OC'd Q6600 during the folding ramp-up this week. I was getting mid 60s temps, even saw 70 a time or two![]()
Amazingly it was stable the whole time. No crashes at all folding 24/7. I have saved the BIOS settings as I don't think I'd ever be able to get them tweaked as perfect again. I wish I could say it was skillz that got my system stable at 3.6, but I know it was more luck than anything
