Your current computer is massive, massive overkill for a tiny little display. Do yourself a favour and get a bigger monitor, you won't regret it. With an 8800GTX, you'll need to be hitting 24" resolution (1920x1200) before you have to worry about any games not hitting max everything and still having more than playable frame rates. A 22" widescreen appears to be the sweet spot for a lot of people, though.

so i've been looking at, http://www.tigerdirect.com

and i'm looking at Samsung, ViewSonic, Ben-Q, I-inc, or Acer.

which one is the better out of that group??

I have a personal preference for Samsung. It may boil down to individual models though...choose a size, a price, and you will likely get some good recommendations out of this group.

well everyone...i thank you for your help..its greatly appreciated..i picked up a Viewsonic VX22w (4000:1, 2ms response) Tiger's best, and best selling 22in monitor...with a DVI cable i get the BEST picture i've every seen for games..all of my games are OUTSTANDING on this thing. i love it.

to tell you guys the trugh..i am amazed at how i ever lived with just 1024x768..games just look SOOOOO MUCH BETTER on a 22in 4000:1 with 1680x1050. its amazing...i NEVER HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH FRAMRATES EITHER.
