Tiger out for the rest of '08 season

Wed Jun 18, 2008 10:59 am

Tiger Woods annouced that he will undergo a second surgery on his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2008 PGA tour. Doctors have told him he can expect a full recovery from the surgery but that it will require rest and rehab.

Unfortunate for golf. I wonder who will win the PGA and the British Open this year. Good luck with your full recovery, Tiger.

That's to give the rest of the field time to practice. There is no good reason why Tiger won the U.S. Open, except that the rest of the field is not up to par.

When I had my knee fixed through othroscopic surgery, it hurt for months after I finished rehab.n Tiger could not have been 100% on the greens after 2-3 months of rehab.

but apparently his 95% is better than the rest 100% . . . .even though I enjoy watching Mickelson sulk when things don't go his way. He does not have a good time blocking out the mess-up and concentrating on making the next shot.

We knew his knee was hurting but to find that he was playing on a torn ACL and a double stress fracture in his left shin is just nuts.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Who will step it up and get some fame before Tiger returns?

Unfortunately for a lot of people golf just became less interesting.
