I believe that you hit it on the head in your first post. The GeForce4 440 Go appears to be pretty close to a GeForce4MX 440. Thus, you get hardware acceleration of DirectX 7 T&L, and you get the DVD playback improvements of the GeForce4MX over the GeForce2MX, but you don't get the DirectX 8 programmable shaders from the GeForce3, Radeon 8500, or GeForce4Ti. Nevertheless, this thing should provide some excellent gaming performance for a laptop. NVidia needs to score well here because the Radeon 7 Mobility has been spanking the GeForce 2Go in game benchmarks, power consumption, and driver stability.
